Jesse Michaels is a painter and illustrator hailing from Berkeley California. Although he is well known for his musical pedigree as the singer of the 80’s ska-punk band Operation Ivy, he has also maintained an artistic practice spanning 4 decades. In his illustrative work he has produced iconic imagery for bands including Green Day and Filth and had multiple solo shows in California and New York as a painter. Michaels continues to create music and make visual art in Los Angeles California.
